AND THE JURY IS.....

STILL OUT!

Last week’s blog addressed the issue of hanging on to one’s (old) wedding dress or not.

And, you, my dear friends and readers, expressed yourselves vociferally on the topic.

I hope you had fun reading last week’s blog.  I can only tell you that I probably had more fun reading your responses!  You tickled my funny bones and warmed the cockles of my heart.  In a time when those things are not necessarily easy to do.

But, back to the dress.  Wedding dresses, it seems, are significantly more revered by grooms than by the brides who bought them, wore them and and now wonder what to do with them.

The “pleas” I received to KEEP the dress were heartfelt, sincere and, to a one, from MEN. The WOMEN, on the other hand, were considerably more blasé about the whole thing and were very curious as to just exactly what I was planning to do with my own dress.

While we may still have questions as to what to do with old wedding dresses, it’s the sociological aspect which I found ever so interesting and amusing.  And had not, in any way, expected.

But, as my Aunt Mary was fond of saying: “Nobody’s funnier than people.” She knew from whence she spoke. Happily, we still are. Funny, that is. Thank goodness.
