I SAID “YES.”

First, I said “Yes” to the Mister when he proposed.

Then, I said “Yes” to a beautiful wedding dress.

A few months after that, I said “Yes” at the altar.

Everything went according to plan. Thank goodness.

The dress, having served its purpose, was immediately returned to the store in New York, from whence it came.  They carefully “cryovacced” it, boxed up and flew it back to my mother’s house, in its very own seat on USAir!

It lived at my parent’s house until The Mister and I had room for it in our own house. It’s moved 14 times with us!

Storing it has not been an issue until now.  But we’re soon moving (yes, again) to a space without an attic, a basement, or a garage.  Storage is dear and the box is very large.

So, what to do?  Oh, what to do?

We have options:  We could rent a space for it.  We could give it to a lovely young woman we met yesterday who’s getting married soon.  We could keep it for our granddaughter.

Or, we could just open the box right this very minute and see what’s what. For all we know, there’s nothing left but bits and pieces of old lace and faded silk.

But, it’s late on Saturday evening and neither of us has the energy to attack the box or any of its subsequent issues.  So, we’ll just have to wait a bit.  We’ll let you know when we know.
