WE’RE OFF TO SEE THE WIZARDS
Samir Kapadia and fellow wizards
The wonderful wizards of the Cleveland Clinic, that is. We know them well at this point and our admiration does nothing but grow.
Early this week, we’ll go to Cleveland for another excursion to “repair” some more bits and pieces of The Mister’s heart.
The process is fascinating. At least to me. If all goes as planned, not a single drop of blood will be shed. There may be the odd bandage or two but they won’t be large. The instruments are reed thin, guided by robots and incredibly talented doctors.
The Clinic makes all this as easy on the family as they can. Enclosed, light-filled walkways from the hotel to the hospital make bad weather a non-issue. No boots, heavy coats or umbrellas required.
A delightful café on the “family” floor is a gift to all. We who dine there know that our fellow diners also fully appreciation and respect all that the Clinic does for patients and family alike.
As I recall, the televisions at the hotel rooms are very confusing. Hard to turn on, find channels, etc, etc. As it turns out, that’s just another thing I’m very grateful for. Who needs more drama?
Please know that you, who read this little blog, are more important to me and to The Mister than you can possibly know. We thank you most sincerely, and in advance, for what we know are your good thoughts for our family in this coming week.
