LOOKING FOR “NOTHING” IN ALL THE WRONG PLACES

When I started this little blog almost 12 years ago, I said it was going to be about “nothing.”  If anyone asked what that meant, I said it was just that simple. It would simply be about “nothing” and if they were truly interested in what that meant, well, then the blog was there to be read.

Until a few weeks ago, I think I stuck to that concept fairly well.  That “nothing” concept. The inconsequential, the small, the seemingly unimportant. But other stuff snuck up on me. Stuff like war, angst, political disparity, discontent.  All of that oozed itself deeply into my brain, my thoughts and my soul.  And into the little Sunday blog.

None of that has proved to be particularly enjoyable so I’m going to do my best, once again, to write about “nothing.” With all the distractions currently out there, it may be harder this time around to stick to “nothing” but it will surely be more fun.

Soooooo, next week, I’ll “report” on a random handful of books I pulled off our shelves.  Sounds boring, you say.  Well, we’ll see how that goes but, In any case, that blog will definitely be about “nothing.”
