It’s officially 2026

There’s a lot riding on this new year. It needs to be a good one.

We all have our opinions about what happened in the last year and what could happen in the new one.  We have very little control over most of that except for one very important thing: us. Our very own selves. Our personal attitudes and actions.

Over the New Years’ weekend I had the great pleasure of talking to several old and dear friends.  Yes, there were some sad things to catch up on.  The loss of mutual friends at the very top of the list.  But most of what we did was laugh!  Remembering, revisiting, and recalling the fun, the giggles, the silliness we’ve enjoyed together through the years.

After those conversations, I made a New Years’ resolution.  I’m going to stay in closer touch with those old friends, try to make some new ones and make every attempt to bring that same joy and laughter into my life every day.  And to share that attitude as best I can.

After all, laughter is the best medicine.  Frowns and scowls be damned!
