WE CONTINUE TO GET SETTLED
As we slowly settle into our new/old house, we continue to ask ourselves: “Will this insanity ever stop?”
The answer to that question remains unknown and unknowable.
If there is a “fun” part to the whole moving thing, it’s hanging the art. Again. In fresh light. In new spaces. On different walls, of course. Next to a piece it’s never lived next to before. ‘Til now. They chatter amongst themselves most nights, of course. They “hang out” together.
We often look back at all of it. Our art, that is. We remember the strong sense of wanting (needing?) each and every piece.
We remember the days we brought each one of them home. It was a bit like bringing home kittens and babies minus the inevitable stress and sleepless nights.
We think about the artists and our relationships with them. Who were they, how did we know them, how did they make such beautiful art and how did we get so lucky as to have some of it move in with us?
The two little pieces above represent a very special kind of insanity…..ours. The artist’s name is Susan Mrosek. You can find her at the Pondering Pool. She’s been in our lives for many years. So, open your doors. Let her in your life. She has a way of changing your take on our world. It’s all good. We promise.
