AND WHAT A LOVELY TURN OF EVENTS IT WAS
Saturday mornings bring my trainer to the door. Which means I don’t always look forward to Saturday mornings. This is common knowledge. Physical exertion/exercise has never been and never will be on my list of favorite things to do.
But I persist with the training thing. It’s good for the body. Or so they say.
But, yesterday morning felt challenging. It had been a long week and I gather that I “looked” particularly “challenged.”
Josh came through the door with his usual “let’s get on with it” attitude, took one look at me, sat down and we began to talk. The Mister joined in the conversation as he is wont to do upon occasion.
We ended up chatting for an hour. He’s a good conversationalist. He always brings an opposing view of whatever might come out of my mouth. If I listen closely I usually get some fresh perspectives.
How lucky am I? Let me count the ways. There were no physical aches and pains yesterday. Just a good, thoughtful and valuable “mind stretching” conversation.
